I don't like winter. I don't enjoy winter sports (unless it's watching them from my nice warm couch). I would much rather be hot than cold. But if I do have to live through winter, I prefer there to be snow. Lots of snow. Preferably the kind of snow that means everything is cancelled and I don't have to go anywhere, but I'll take whatever I can get.
Except ice. I fucking hate ice.
And I hate the polar vortex that's making it too cold for me to send my kids out to play in the snow. Um, but since this is supposed to be about stuff I love. . .
Er. . .
Now that my kids are older, I truly enjoy it when they have a snow day. Not only because I can sleep in, but because I feel like they need more time to play. And now that they play in the basement, I don't feel the need to micromanage them. It's a win for everyone.

I love your pictures - they are beautiful. It is easy for me to love snow, because I don't live in it. I think I will have a snow-empathy day today and take off even though it isn't snowing. That should be allowed, right?
We've had a lot of snow this winter and I am just over it. Not the snow really, because it is pretty and it makes my wife happy, but the snow days. I work at home and well, you can figure out where this is going, right?
