There's really no reason for me to be so crabby today. No one in the family was admitted to the hospital, I didn't have a failed Doppler experience and my children actually did a good job at library story hour (in fact, compared to most of the other children, they were AWESOME). Hell, I even walked them to the library!
Usually, exercise makes me a happier - and therefore kinder - person. But not today.
Today, I would like to share a few things I hate. I invite you to share your hates in the comments. Think of it as my small way of saying thanks for all the kindness you guys have heaped upon me lately.
1. I hate the fact that I have to sign a WAIVER if I allow Ironflower to go to one of her classmates' birthday parties. It's a gymnastics party, so I suppose I get it. But a waiver? Seriously? Are they going to have her doing flips on the balance beam?
2. I hate my pants. They are all too big or too small and I do not have one single pair that makes me feel good or look even slightly better. Not one.
3. I hate the weather. It was warm and springlike for one day, but by Sunday they high will be forty-five degrees. The high!
4. I hate people who tailgate me when I'm driving 35 mph in a 35mph zone. I hope they all get tickets.
5. I hate Fox News. The only time they are "fair and balanced" is when they say the date.
6. I hate that plastic surgery has become so pervasive that women are actually getting work done to make their vaginas "more attractive". I think the fact that it works should be attractive enough, dammit.
7. I hate that InStyle says that sailor pants are in. Even models don't look good in sailor pants. Even SAILORS don't wear sailor pants anymore.
8. I hate it when my friends don't read my blog and I actually have to go through all this drama again and again when they call. (It's perfectly fine - great, even - when friends who do read my blog call)
9. I hate it that I'm not on the Alltop list of parenting blogs, even though I totally don't deserve to be there.
10. I hate it that I feel like all of my creative juices have been sucked away by stress and nausea and all I can post are lists and pleas for emotional support.

I hate many, many things today.
I hate all those things minus the Fox News. Sorry, you know I'm a conservative Republican...it's the only news channel we watch. But, I hope you find great new pants that are not of the sailor variety soon.
I hate everything too. And I wanna be on Alltop too. And my in-laws are dumb. And I want to go to bed but my daughter won't go to sleep. Today sucks. /whine
HA! I love this list! But I must side with Fox News as well seeing as how every other news channel in the whole wide world is tipped in the left. Just saying. ;)
I have one in particular today:
I hate it when an otherwise pleasant seeming person parks their grocery cart on one side of the aisle while allowing their three obnoxious teenage girls stand in a group on the other side of the aisle, thereby completely and obviously blocking the entire aisle. And the sole adult of the group saying (in a limp manner) "come on, just do it so we're not taking up the room", while not actually doing anything about it. For several minutes. In each aisle.
I hate that I am not a 'trust-fund' baby
I hate that I couldn't stay home and take care of my sick baby today.
I hate that I am not more efficient.
I hate that I can be overly sensitive and slightly paranoid.
I hate that a well-meaning family member felt the need to caution me about revealing too much on the internet.
I hate that I am a little worried that my family member will find this list.
I hate that I need and want to lose weight but haven't done anything about it.
I could go on but I would hate to take up too much space on your blog.
I hate how media plays on the simple minds. They are insulting.
I hate how I feel in jeans and that my boobs are just too big to look cute in t-shirts.
I hate that my mum-in-law rambles on and on the minute that I come home from work, giving me every detail of what the kids ate. She is obsessed with food.
I hate mothers who live vacariously through their children, so they sign them up for five dance classes, three music lessons and God knows what else. Their kids are exhausted, and their moms are fulfilled.
I'm sorry you're having such a rough day. I do our blog for family members, since we don't live near any of them. I hate that they don't ever visit our blog. They just call me to tell me how they never get to see Little Elvis. Well, I put lots of video up, and even more pictures. They could keep up with him daily if they wanted. Grr!!!
Oh, man. I am so adding that to things I "hate"- that I'm not a "trust fund baby". Hmm.
Mama, you need a treat. A pedi, a starbucks, whatever floats your boat. For me it's a kit kat bar and something good to watch on TiVo while the kids are asleep.
Leslie - Dustin Diamond is a good one. Wish I'd put him on my list.
feener - Clearly you are a more positive person than I am. I should try that idea.
Becky - What? Share with us.
Kathryn - There's tipping and then there's slanting. :) Alltop is some list of really cool bloggers.
Cris - That gas is a good one.
AFF - I know you are, and I love you anyway.
Dory - That's okay. :)
Karly - Let it all out - whine away!
Wordvixen - I hate all other people at the grocery store, usually. Those people would have driven me crazy.
mkate - that was an amazingly comprehensive list. I am so sad I left "trust fund baby" off of mine. Yours was awesome.
kendra - I think I could have written your list.
Nicole - I could have written yours too - except for the love part, obviously.
Meredith - I would hate that too!
Jess - You are so right.
I hear you!
Don't even get me started in #6. Like women don't have enough to feel insecure about now we have to worry about if our hoohas are cute enough. It's beyond gross. Do you think men will ever feel compelled to pretty up their privates? I think not.
I hate that I am horrible at keeping touch and don't keep friends because of that.
I hate that people don't care enough for their kids to feed them before 2 pm and when I do something about it they keep them out of school.
I hate that I love to shop and therefore have no money.
I hate that I am almost 30 and love not being married. No, I don't hate that -- I hate people pressuring me to get married. Like it matters to them anyway?!
And I hate that I have become so negative that this list could last me an hour to write! :o(
Add one -- I HATE TAXES that we don't see enough benefits for the PEOPLE who pay them!
I hate some of those same things. What is with those sailor pants and you made a very good point that even sailors have sailed on...
I can't stand the weather going hot and cold and back and forth. Is it so hard to stay one nice warm temperature? Ahhh Jersey weather.
