I am a wimp.
I started a work at home job this week, doing some research and writing for a website-to-be. It's only 15 hours a week, so it's not like it's THAT taxing. Recently I also signed up to be an assistant organizer for our ENORMOUS playgroup and that inspired me to host a playdate. Which I did on Friday. After obsessively cleaning the first floor on Thursday. I also got the bright idea a few weeks back that we should get up early this morning for a trip on the Easter Bunny train. And right now I seriously feel like I haven't slept in a week.
The only reason I'm not vegging on the couch right now is that I promised the kids that they could watch Lazytown. And Sportacus creeps me out.
Anyway, I feel like such a wimp.
The playdate was fun. The kids were great about sharing their toys and being friendly. The bunny train was basically fun. Although Lovebug cried when approached by all the costumed characters (Easter Bunny, Snoopy, Sylvester and Tweety) and peed so much that it leaked onto my skirt (don't be impressed by the skirt wearing, all my real pants were dirty). Luckily I brought extra pants for him. And then Ironflower needed the potty, which was so revolting and dirty I almost threw up all over it. Then I used a Wet One to disinfect myself and got nauseous all over again (apparently NewBaby doesn't like the smell of Wet Ones). But my parents came too and took us out for a lovely lunch after.
But I feel like I just ran a marathon.
(I've been doing my "energy moves" every morning too - the ones that I got from Health magazine that seemed to be helping. Until today.)
Hubby and my mother contend that I can't be feeling so rotten from the pregnancy already. But I think it had better be the pregnancy, otherwise I've developed mono or something. Any thoughts?
(Some of you are probably thinking, "Dude, this is your THIRD pregnancy, don't you know?" Uh, no. With Ironflower, the feelings of crappiness held off until week 8. And with Lovebug I had no symptoms until he started kicking. )

I felt like crap pretty much the instant I got pregnant until week 13. And then the 'oh dear god, I wish I could vomit and make the nausea go away' went away.
I even got air sick flying to my sister-in-law's wedding - basically 2 days after I got pregnant.
Actually, I think it is caring for a preschooler and toddler as well as beginning as new job AND being pregnant!
BTW-- where is the bunny train? I would love to take Becca there. I did a google search and the only one I saw was about 2 hours away.
Of course it can be the baby! Both times I was pregnant I was puking my guts up pretty much right away. And I was crabby and tired too. Ok, so I'm always crabby and tired but the puking was from the pregnancy.
I was SO tired with my first...before I even had other little ones to take care of. I remember climbing in bed one night at 5:30PM and sleeping until the next AM. I found out I was pregnant about a week and a half later and I thought "Ohhhhh....so THAT'S why I am so tired." I am sending good thoughts your way!
Oh my goodness, YES! It can absolutely be the pregnancy. That's how I KNEW I was pregnant - I was puking every morning (from 5 weeks on until week 18). It can absolutely be the pregnancy. And it is likely compounded by the fact that you're one busy mom. The good news is, the nauseousness and sicky stuff is actually a good sign that the pregnancy is going well.
Take it easy and get some rest!
i am sure it is the pregnancy mixed with taking care of 2 other kids !! with my second i felt sick right away - i am talking week 6 which sucked b/c i felt sick 24 7 for far too long. the good news is it does eventually go away. and eventually you get just too darn big that you stop moving !!
I'm lucky that I never actually throw up, but I am definitely nauseous at moments and incredibly tired. The first trimester fatigue seemed to get worse with each pregnancy. I'm guessing I'll basically be sleeping through the next few weeks.
I felt crappy from day one. BUT I felt like if I felt that crappy, things inside must be progressing well! So there is a little silver lining to the puking.
What is with LazyTown? Ugh.
It sounds like you had/have so much on your plate! That, coupled with a pregnancy would probably stop lesser women in their tracks! OK, probably not, but still, I got a little winded just reading all of that. Congrats on the job, and I hope that after a calmer week, you'll feel better.
Holy heck...I am tired just READING everything you have done...I think hubby and Mom are smoking crack (j/k)...lol. Being tired and feeling crappy is COMPLETELY natural...
hang in there
