So as I lamented yesterday, I am sick.** Consequently I watched a lot of television yesterday. Fortunately there were marathons of American's Next Top Model, Miss America Reality Check and House Hunters International. In six hours of channel flipping, I learned that: a)I so could've been a great model if I had been taller, thinner and more beautiful, b)I am not sweet enough to be a Miss America contestant and c), I do not want to move to Sao Paulo. And somehow after hours of interior design and beauty and fashion I found myself watching crime shows.
Did you know that at 10pm last night there was NOT ONE Law and Order on television? I almost cried. I needed crime. I needed gritty. I needed. . .David Caruso?
That's right. With no Law and Order, I had to watch CSI Miami. I Tivo the original CSI but I gave up on CSI Miami a few years back. Last night it seemed that it had actually gotten worse. It's the "David Caruso" show. . .and David Caruso is no . . .hell, it's not fair to compare him to any real actors. He's no actor. I'm pretty sure there are America's Next Top Model losers who could pose better than he does. And yet more people watch CSI Miami than watch Friday Night Lights. Grrrrrr.
The "plot" of last night's episode had to do with internet fame, stalkerazzi and bloggers. So aside from the icky Caruso factor, there was the whole insult to blogging. Because I don't think those people who post pictures and bitchy comments about celebrities (and pseudo-celebrities) deserve to be called bloggers. Or maybe it's just that I don't want to be associated with them.
What do you think? Are you comfortable having the same label as Perez Hilton? Does it bother you when the media portrays bloggers as a bunch of gossipy assholes with nothing but rumors to offer?
*This is true. I saw her at a Broadway show. She looked all hip and funky. She was with Matthew Broderick, but I don't want to be bitchy and talk about how schlumpy he looked.
**And if this post is as disjointed as I fear it might be, that's my excuse. I'm sick. Cut me a break.

I LOVE America's Next Top Model. It is now a full blown addiction. If it is on, even if I've seen the episode before, I HAVE to watch it.
As far as how bloggers are portrayed, I hadn't really given it much thought. I guess I'm kind of in my own little world. I am a rock. I am island.
Can you tell that I'm up way past my bedtime? I need to go to sleep.
